Child Development Program
The Dearborn YMCA Child Development Program provides an early learning experience for young children; developing their cognitive, language, physical, emotional, and social skills; preparing them for kindergarten and for long-term educational success. Nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks are provided daily.
First Class Pre-K Program
Office of School Readiness First Class Pre-K Program is designed for children of four years of age and uses degreed child development teachers to deliver its program. Children learn through active exploration of their environment with a balance of child-initiated and teacher-selected activities. Families and teachers are partners in each child’s education. Teachers use a variety of strategies to scaffold children’s learning and development, and assessments are used with young children to plan and implement experiences that facilitate learning.
Early Head Start
The Early Head Start Program is a Child Development Program for children 6 wks - 3 years of age. The program design is to help lay the foundation for educational success. The idea is to help children with their physical, social, emotional, language, as well as their cognitive and reasoning skills. This Early Head Start program also addresses health and home issues by providing home health screening and home visits for all participants and any other children in the household.
Before & After-School Academy
Our after-school program brings together physical activity, study time and a safe, supportive environment to help young people succeed in school, at home and throughout their lives.
​The After-School Academy serves children of working parents from the time school is out each day until parents arrive to pick them up in the evening. During that time, the program works to mold and shape elementary and middle school aged children through tutoring, leadership & character development, mentoring and recreational programs.
Summer Camp Program
Our Summer Camp welcomes all kids to discover who they are and imagine who they can be, with programs that foster lifelong skills, build self-confidence and create lasting friendships.

Our Summer Camp Program insures that children have a safe place to stay during the summer months. This program combines summer fun and learning, insuring that children do not lose what they have learned during the months away from school and that they are prepared and ready for the next academic year.
Pathway to Employment Program
The Pathway to Employment Program offers young adults, ages 17 -24, whose educational careers have been interrupted, the opportunity to earn their GED or alternative diploma, participate in work readiness training, and prepare to enter the workforce or post-secondary educational settings. Various incentives are offered including childcare, stipends, gift cards, transportation, field trips, etc.
Senior Activities for Independent Living
The SAIL Program (Senior Activities for Independent Living) is one of the largest in the state of Alabama. This program has proven successful in providing nutritious meals, transportation, outreach, information & referrals, and activities to insure that seniors remain strong and active for as long as possible.
Fitness Membership
Our health and fitness programs connect everyone to the knowledge, resources and community they need to lead active, vibrant lives at every age.
Offers heated indoor pool, fitness area and locker rooms, indoor basketball court and gymnasium, outdoor walking/running track, and month-to-month memberships, without contracts
Aquatics Programs
YMCA swim programs teach water safety skills and help participants develop confidence in and around the water. They also offer swimmers the opportunity to enjoy water sports, enhance or learn new swim techniques and meet new friends.

The Dearborn YMCA Marlins Swim Team provides training and competitive opportunities for swimmers of all ages to reach their individual and team goals.
